Terra e Mare, by Unmaredivino

Regular price £21.00

This 100% Vermentino is the Mediterranean captured in a bottle.

It's fresh and summery, full of bright fruit and floral notes - grapefruit, lemon, apples and wildflowers.

But its far from simple. Salty notes from the islands coastal winds, and a rich texture make this a versatile wine - equally perfect on its own or with a range of fishes, salads and other Mediterranean style dishes.

Why we chose it?

Vermentino is arguably one of the most exciting white grape varieties going right now. This is a top example from a tiny producer with a huge amount of character.

Unmaredivino

Unmaredivino is a tiny winery producing little more than 30,000 bottles a year in total across their small range. Their Vermentino, as with many producers on the island of Sardinia, is their hero product, with huge attention to detail going into the winemaking.

The region...

Sardinia

Sardinia has a Mediterranean climate, with dry hot summers and mild winters. The addition of hilly terrain and coastal breezes make it ideal for grape growing. The two highly established grapes are Vermentino and Cannonau (Grenache).
