The wine...
Gatafunho
Half the blend comes from Lafões, using Encruzado and Bical, and half from Beira Interior, using Arinto and Moscatel Graúdo. The Moscatel spends ten days fermenting on its skins, adding texture and a gentle tannic grip. Fermentation happens naturally, without temperature control. Serve at 12–14°C rather than fridge-cold, and keep the food simple: salads, mild cheese, fish or light meats all make good company for this distinctive Portuguese white.

Gardunha Sul
André Duque Lourenço founded Gardunha Sul in 2021 after working in conventional Portuguese winemaking. He wanted to make personal, easy-drinking wines while helping recover overlooked vineyards and varieties. Partnerships with local growers are central to the project, including paying fairly for their work and caring for grape quality through the growing season. It is a small producer with a clear reason to champion this quieter part of Portugal.
