The grapes are handpicked from vineyards in Essex, with the real magic happening in the winery.
Grapes are cold soaked to maximise the transfer of flavours, then fermented and aged in French oak barrels , imparting complexity and a rich texture into the wines.
A truly eye-opening rosé, full of cherries and strawberries, with a punchy style that you'll remember.

Rebel
A cracking rosé using Essex-grown Pinot Noir grapes that are bursting with acidity and freshness. This wine is carefully crafted in the winery, with a minimal approach to additives, but a patient 18 months aging in French oak and on the lees, adding creaminess and a depth of flavour. A versatile rose that's refreshing yet powerful. Superbly enjoyed on a sunny afternoon, or at a classy dinner party.

As an urban winery, Blackbook don't own a vineyard, so can choose the growers to buy fruit from. This has a distinct advantage in regions like England where different plots and vintages vary greatly. This approach also encourages experimentation - choosing new wines to make as required. Blackbook are also a big proponent of texture - regularly using French oak and lees contact across their range.
