A bold, fruit-filled Montsant red that is very easy to make room for at dinner.

Garnacha leads the blend, joined by Cariñena and Cabernet Sauvignon. Ripe blackberry and cherry bring the generous fruit, while a full body and silky texture make Flvminis a satisfying bottle to share around the table.

Mas de l’Abundància works on the edge of Priorat, in an appellation with plenty of character of its own. This is a great introduction if you enjoy reds with intensity and want somewhere new to explore.

Why we chose it?

We chose it for the way it brings Montsant's local grapes together with Cabernet Sauvignon, opening up another side of Spanish red wine.

Flvminis
The wine...

Flvminis

Flvminis is built around Garnacha, which accounts for 70% of the blend, with Cariñena and a smaller contribution from Cabernet Sauvignon. After fermentation in stainless steel, it spends around six months in previously used French oak barrels. These let the wine develop without making new oak the main event. The result is a full red with plenty to bring to a meal. Game, slow-cooked stews and strong cheeses are all good places to start at dinner.

Mas de l’Abundància

This small and focussed estate farms a mix of local varieties and international grapes. Its vineyards include slate, chalky clay and granite sand, giving the team different material to work with. Organic vineyard certification has been in place since 2019. Limited estate production keeps the focus on individual wines and the land behind them.
Montsant
The region...

Montsant

Montsant sits in Catalunya's Tarragona province, largely wrapping around its famous neighbour Priorat. Mountainous terrain and a mix of limestone, granite and slate make it much more varied than a single regional label might suggest. Hot, dry summers are balanced by cooler nights during ripening. Garnacha and Cariñena are important local grapes, and blends with Cabernet Sauvignon offer another way into the area's generous, structured reds. There is plenty to discover here.
